Dr. R. Zackary Unger is an Orthopaedic Surgeon and Sports Medicine Physician who enjoys taking care of athletes and active individuals of all ages. Dr. Unger specializes in Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine conditions of all areas of the body.  His primary focus is Sports Medicine; however, his residency training provides him with a background in managing general orthopaedic needs including fracture management, total joint replacement, and hand procedures in addition to various nonoperative treatment options. 

During his training at the University of Kentucky, Dr. Unger had the opportunity to care for the UK Football and UK Men's Basketball teams.  He has also provided coverage of the PGA Barbasol Championship, acted as an assistant team physician for Kentucky State University Athletics and several Lexington, KY area high schools.  Dr. Unger looks forward to serving the Danville, KY area for any Orthopaedic or Sports Medicine needs.
